2 Special Weeks

The past 2 weeks I have had the pleasure of having my boyfriend, Steve, come visit me here in Guatemala. It was his first time in a country like this and it was an adventure showing him around. His first week here was Holy Week, so that was a fun week off from work. The next week he came with me to school devotions and all my English classes in all my schools. I'm so glad he was able to meet all my friends and experience what regular life is like here for me, as well as get a feel for the culture and do some touristy things. Being the photographer that he is, he took class pictures of me with all my classes. I'm hoping that will help me remember their names. If not, at least I can remember all my classes when I go home. He also enjoyed taking pictures of all the cute kids playing outside at recess and after school. For touristy things we were able to go to Semuc Champey (a blog soon to come about that), the sinkhole at Chicoy which is a large cave that you enter from the top, and the zoo in Guatemala City. Our 2 weeks were filled with all sorts of Guatemalan fruit and food, walking to various landmarks in town, learning/teaching Spanish, and just enjoying each other's company. All in all they were 2 weeks I will never forget.
